Our Purpose

The Sisterhood has always supported the church
financially, spiritually and physically. The women of our church guide our future, our children.

The St. Sophia Sisterhood continues to focus on our future and we need growth in membership. Please contact our parish priest, Fr. Djurica, or any of our board members for information.

We hope you will join us!

What’s happening in the Sisterhood...

KSS RECIPE BOOK

The St. Sophia Sisterhood has prepared a beautiful KSS Recipe Book which will be available for sale for our 60th anniversary. We are always interested in looking for ways we can preserve our traditions and pass down our teachings. The Sisterhood has collected recipes in order to put together this special recipe book with traditional foods from the old country that we all so enjoy. Please tell your family and friends about this great new recipe book!

HALL GLAM PROJECT

The Sisterhood worked on phases of giving our Church Hall a facelift in preparation of our Church’s 60th anniversary on October 5, 2014. Today it is beautiful and available for church banquets, dances, and special events. Take a look at what has been done... View Photos

ESCRIP

eScrip is proven to be a fantastic resource for fundraising where participating business partners contribute a percentage of your grocery loyalty cards, credit card, and debit/ATM card purchases to schools and nonprofits.

If you are already a member of Escrip please update your account with your Safeway Card or Credit Card information. If you haven't signed up yet, please goto eSrip.com to become a new member. Select the St. Johns Serbian Orthodox Church under school/nonprofits.

How it Works

  • You register any one or all of your existing grocery loyalty, debit and credit cards for use in the program.
  • Participating merchants will make contributions to your chosen group, based on purchases made by you, just by using the cards you have registered.
  • Your purchases are tracked and available to you online, allowing you to see just how much you are earning on your child's behalf!

ALTAR FLOWERS

The Church is accepting donations of flowers for the altar on any given Sunday. The donation of these flowers can be given in memory of a loved one, or in celebration of a birthday, wedding anniversary, or slava. Please contact Father Djurica if you would like to donate flowers on any given Sunday so your name can be added to the schedule of contributors.
